The comedian

Acclaimed writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, the company has said.

A representative for the company commented: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the decision was made after an inquiry regarding claims about inappropriate behaviour directed at female individuals.

The publisher declined to specify the reasons for its decision, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."

A Prolific Writing Journey

Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, having sold more than 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.

Several of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.

He has published in excess of 40 works combined, which features a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.

His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE several years ago for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
